Procurement Project Specialist – 6 months; immediate start

Role Purpose

Brought in at the start-up phase of a project to drive early commercial and sourcing activity that gets the project ready to mobilise. Owns tendering, quoting and contract negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors during kick-off, working closely with the Project Manager to secure the right goods, services and suppliers on time, at the right cost, and on the right terms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement from project kick-off: identify what needs sourcing and build a procurement plan/timeline aligned to the project schedule.
  • Run tender processes end to end — issuing RFQs/RFPs, managing supplier queries, evaluating submissions and recommending outcomes for approval.
  • Source and compare competitive quotes for materials, equipment and services, benchmarking pricing for value.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and contract conditions, and prepare purchase orders/contracts for sign-off.
  • Ensure contracts clearly capture deliverables, timelines, pricing and risk/liability terms.
  • Build and manage supplier/subcontractor relationships for responsive, competitive service.
  • Act as the main procurement point of contact for the project team during mobilisation, handing over to the wider team once up and running.
  • Keep accurate procurement and contract records.

Expertise / Experience

  • Proven procurement, buying or contracts experience, ideally project-based.
  • Track record running tenders/RFQs end to end, scoping through to award.
  • Strong negotiation experience with a record of securing good pricing and terms.
  • Comfortable working to tight kick-off timelines, often across multiple projects at once.
  • CIPS an advantage.

Dublin, North – Clonshaugh

Hybrid – 2 days on-site, Monday and Thursday - WFH
