Job Title: Team Lead/Manager – Fund Administration

Role summary

Fund administration is one of the fastest growing areas of the FINBOURNE platform. Our Transfer Agency and Fund Accounting capabilities give fund administrators, asset servicers and asset managers a single, modern platform spanning the shareholder register, subscriptions and redemptions, and the full accounting book of record through to NAV production. We are looking to hire an experienced Team Lead/Manager to manage a team responsible for building and scaling this capability across a broad technology stack. This will be a hands-on role, reporting to the Engineering Lead in Dublin and liaising with teams both in Dublin and London.

Key responsibilities

 Ownership of the technical design and implementation across our Transfer Agency and Fund Accounting capabilities

 Deliver robust technical solutions that form part of the core product

 Translate the product’s team requirements – shareholder dealing and settlement, accounting periods, valuations and NAV production – into well engineered, scalable software

 Collaborate across multiple engineering teams and work across a diverse technology stack

 Work closely with clients, domain experts and product to shape and prioritise the fund administration roadmap

 Leverage AI-powered development tools (such as Claude) to accelerate coding, code review, and documentation tasks, while critically evaluating and validating AI-generated output.

Skills and experience

 10+ years of commercial experience using C# to build enterprise software, ideally in a distributed environment

 Proven experience managing, mentoring, and developing software engineers across different levels of seniority

 Hands-on experience delivering financial software, in particular Transfer Agency (shareholder registers, dealing, settlement) and/or Fund Accounting (books of record, valuations, NAV, fees and expenses)

 A good working knowledge of the fund servicing value chain, and the operational and regulatory pressures that fund administrators work under

 Proven experience using AI tools in day to day development. You should be comfortable using AI coding assistants and large language models as part of a modern development workflow, with a pragmatic understanding of their capabilities and limitations.

 A track record of delivering software projects on time, managing scope, risk, and dependencies effectively

 Practical experience of working with Docker and Kubernetes

 Experience of delivering software in a CI/CD environment

 Experience of working with SQL in a commercial environment, preferably PostgreSQL or MS Sql Server

 Experience running software projects with a multitude of stakeholders across multiple time-zones

 Excellent communication skills and the ability to discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences

 Experience of working with fund accounting or transfer agency platforms, custodians or depositaries would be a distinct advantage
